Somerset REC is an electric distribution cooperative serving more than 13,000 members in four southwestern Pennsylvania counties (Bedford, Fayette, Somerset and Westmoreland), as well as Garrett County, Md. Incorporated on March 8, 1939, the cooperative first provided electric service in February 1940.
