United Electric Cooperative, Inc.

United Electric is an electric distribution cooperative serving more than 18,000 members in 10 west-central Pennsylvania counties (Armstrong, Cambria, Centre, Clarion, Clinton, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Indiana, and Jefferson). United Electric was formed October 27, 1966, from the consolidation of Jefferson Electric Cooperative (Jeffco) and Clearfield Electric Cooperative. This is the only consolidation of Pennsylvania cooperatives to date.
